Scientists Dissapearing

As of April 2026, the White House is investigating a series of mysterious disappearances and deaths involving approximately 10 U.S. scientists and researchers with links to sensitive nuclear, aerospace, and defense programs. President Trump stated on April 16, 2026, that his administration is looking into the matter and expects to have a “pretty good answer” within the next week and a half.While no definitive links between the cases have been confirmed by authorities, observers have noted patterns, including multiple scientists disappearing on foot from their homes while leaving behind personal items like phones and wallets.  Missing Scientists and ResearchersThe following individuals have been reported missing under unexplained circumstances: 

• William “Neil” McCasland

   (Missing since Feb 27, 2026): A retired Air Force Major General who led space research at the Air Force Research Laboratory. He vanished from his Albuquerque home, leaving behind his phone and glasses but taking a .38-caliber revolver.

• Monica Jacinto Reza

   (Missing since June 22, 2025): Director of Materials Processing at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She disappeared while hiking on a well-traveled trail in the Angeles National Forest.

• Steven Garcia

   (Missing since Aug 28, 2025): A government contractor at the Kansas City National Security Campus (which handles non-nuclear components for nukes). He was last seen walking away from his Albuquerque home carrying a handgun.

• Melissa Casias

   (Missing since June 26, 2025): An administrative assistant with security clearance at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She was last seen walking alone along a highway in New Mexico; her phone had been factory reset.

• Anthony “Tony” Chavez

   (Missing since May 8, 2025): A retired Los Alamos National Laboratory employee. He left his wallet and keys inside his home, and his car was found locked in the driveway.

 Related Deaths Under InvestigationThe probe also includes several scientists who died suddenly or under violent circumstances: 

• Carl Grillmair

   (Died Feb 16, 2026): A Caltech astrophysicist shot to death on his front porch in California. A suspect was later arrested for the killing.

• Nuno Loureiro

   (Died Dec 16, 2025): An MIT physicist and director of the Plasma Science and Fusion Center. He was shot at his home by a suspect who later died by suicide.

• Jason Thomas

   (Died March 17, 2026): A pharmaceutical researcher at Novartis. He went missing in Dec 2025, and his body was later recovered from a frozen lake.

• Frank Maiwald

   (Died July 4, 2024): A longtime engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. His cause of death was not publicly disclosed, and no autopsy was performed.

• Michael David Hicks

   (Died July 30, 2023): A research scientist at NASA’s JPL who worked on asteroid redirection. Official records list the cause as natural, though it has been grouped into recent reports.
